The Amalfi Coast and Venice

My husband and I rented an apartment perched on a hillside far above the Mediterranean Sea and from our balcony we could see the winding roads descending to the Amalfi Coast.  We watched the fishing boats off  shore and the cars and buses curling up the steep hillside.  We walked down over 900 steps on the path leading down to Amalfi and the impact of approaching the town on foot will be forever in my memory.  The beauty of this area always stirs in me an eagerness to paint it with the colors of sunlight.
