I often change mediums and styles and use mixed media. This keeps me energized and fresh. I get bored painting the same things in the same way. I find that switching from watercolor on paper to acrylic on canvas or collage can actually strengthen my work and one technique can help the other. I do not find it a detriment in the overall quality of my work.
